Requirements listed in this article apply to the self-hosted Syskit Point option required when using the Enterprise plan only.
Syskit Point Requirements
Syskit Point is dependent upon the use of:
- Microsoft 365 tenant
- Azure Subscription
- Microsoft Entra ID
Please note!
To successfully deploy Syskit Point, you need:
- A user that is an owner of the resource group you'll be using for Syskit Point
- Or a user who can create a new Azure resource group
- A user with Global Admin access
Azure Resources Requirements
Syskit Point uses Azure cloud components managed by Microsoft. You can view the architecture diagram of these components by following this link.
All components are provisioned inside your Azure subscription and configured automatically by using Syskit's Azure Marketplace offering.
The following Azure components are used:
- Azure App Service
- Cosmos DB
- Azure SQL database
- Service bus
- Storage account
- Key vault
The Azure App Service has a setting called WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE.
- To allow exporting reports as PDF files, set WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE to 0 for both Host, and Background app services.
- If this setting is 1, the app's file system is read-only, and the files needed for the PDF cannot be extracted, resulting in a failed PDF download.

Please note!
Each customer's environment is unique, and depending on the number of users, the number of files, and the number of event logs your tenant is generating, the resources will need to be scaled accordingly.
Before deploying Syskit Point, your dedicated customer success manager will provide you with recommendations for all mentioned Azure components.
Azure Reservations
To optimize cost, consider using Azure reservations. The table below lists potential savings in percentage for App Service, SQL Database, and Cosmos components.

- Google Chrome (recommended)

- Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)
