Manage Security Permissions

This article explains how to manage security permissions in Syskit Monitor.

Here is what you need to do: 1. Open Syskit Monitor. 2. Navigate to File, select Manage from the left navigation bar and click the Users and Groups button. 3. Double-click the users whose permissions you want to change. 4. Change the user’s role in the Edit user data dialog. 5. Select Viewers or Administrators. Viewers can only view data, admins can administrate computers and users. Click here for a more detailed description about .

Advanced role-based security

In case you want to adjust for the each viewer individually which OU’s he can monitor in the reports, do the following: 1. Navigate File, select Configuration from the left navigation bar and click on the Options button. 2. Under General > Report Options and select the Enable Role-based security checkbox. 3. Navigate File, select Manage from the left navigation bar and click the Users and Groups button. 4. Double-click the users whose permissions you want to change. 5. Select from the Supervised OUs dropdown, the OUs which this user will be able to see the reports for. 6. Click Apply and then OK to save the changes.
